Activity & Notifications
SyncaMap keeps one running record of everything that happens in your store — locations created from orders, customers confirming or declining their listing, plan-limit warnings, sync errors, and more. You see it in three places, and you can have the important items emailed to you.
The Activity feed
Open Activity in the navigation. This is the feed of items that need your attention — a location waiting for approval, a customer who removed their listing, a sync error, a plan limit reached. The number on the Activity nav item is your count of unread alerts.
- Severity at a glance — each row is color-accented: red for errors, amber for warnings, green for successes, neutral for information.
- Filter by category — Sync, Locations, Customers, Limits, or System.
- Mark as read — clear a single item, a whole batch, or everything with Mark all as read.
- Jump to the source — View opens the location, the pending-approval queue, or the Plans page, depending on the item.
Grouped batches
When a backfill or a busy day creates many locations at once, SyncaMap collapses them into a single expandable row (for example, "12 updates") so the feed stays readable. Click View details to expand the group.
Two more views of the same record
The Activity feed, the Sync History tab, and a location's History card are all views of the same underlying record, so they always agree.
- Sync History — on Sync → Sync rules, the Sync History tab shows the order-by-order processing log: which orders created a location, matched an existing one, or were skipped, and why.
- Location History — open any location and scroll to the History card to see that location's full timeline: created, approved, confirmed by the customer, expired, restored, and so on.
Email notifications
By default SyncaMap does not email you — the in-app Activity feed is the source of truth. When you want alerts in your inbox, turn them on under Settings → Notifications (the Activity page also links there via Email preferences).
- Recipient email — leave it blank to use your Shopify shop email, or enter a different address.
- What to send — check the categories you care about (Sync, Locations, Customers, Limits, System). Email stays off until you select at least one.
- How often:
- Immediately — alerts are sent within about 10 minutes of happening.
- Once a day — a single daily summary of that day's alerts.
- Send test email — sends a sample to your recipient so you can confirm it arrives.
These are account emails to you, the merchant — they are separate from the customer confirmation emails your buyers receive, and they carry a link back to this preferences page instead of an unsubscribe footer.
