Privacy Policy

How Rare Brew Corp (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your data when you use SyncaMap.

Information We Collect

When you install and use SyncaMap, we collect the following information:

  • Shop information: Your Shopify store domain, shop name, and contact email address provided during Shopify app installation.
  • Order data: When automatic sync is enabled, we access order data (shipping addresses, customer tags, sales channel, and order values) to identify and create retailer locations for your store locator.
  • Location data: Store names, addresses, geographic coordinates, contact information, and other details you provide for your retailer locations.
  • Analytics events: Anonymous usage data such as map views, search queries, and location clicks on your storefront widget.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the SyncaMap service, including syncing retailer locations from your order data.
  • Display your store locator map on your Shopify storefront.
  • Generate analytics and insights about how customers interact with your store locator.
  • Communicate with you about your account, billing, and service updates.
  • Improve and develop new features for the service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Heroku’s secure infrastructure in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), parameterized database queries, and access controls to protect your data.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your Shopify app installation is active. When you uninstall SyncaMap from your Shopify store, we automatically delete all associated data including your shop information, locations, sync rules, and analytics data within 30 days.

You may also request deletion of specific data at any time by contacting us at support@syncamap.com.

Third-Party Services

SyncaMap integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

  • Shopify: We access your store data through Shopify’s APIs as an authorized Shopify app. Shopify’s privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy.
  • Mapbox: We use Mapbox to power our interactive maps. When customers view your store locator, Mapbox may collect certain usage data as described in their privacy policy.
  • Heroku: Our application and database are hosted on Heroku (a Salesforce company). Their data handling practices are described in their privacy policy.

Cookies

SyncaMap uses essential cookies required for the Shopify app authentication flow. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies for marketing purposes. The storefront widget does not set any cookies.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Export your location data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing by uninstalling the app.

Children’s Privacy

SyncaMap is a business-to-business service designed for Shopify merchants. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of SyncaMap after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
