Managing Locations — SyncaMap Support

Managing Locations

There are three ways to get locations into SyncaMap: manual entry, CSV import, and automatic sync from orders. You can mix all three — every location records its source so you always know where it came from.

Manual entry

  1. Go to Locations → Add location.
  2. Enter a name and address. Use the address autocomplete suggestions so the pin is placed correctly.
  3. Add optional details: phone, website, hours, and products carried.
  4. Set visibility and Save.

To edit a location, click it in the list. From the detail page you can update fields, toggle visibility, or delete it (with confirmation).

Visibility

Only visible locations appear on your storefront map. Hide a location to keep it in your admin list without showing it to customers. You can also hide or show locations in bulk from the list view using bulk actions.

CSV import and export

CSV import/export is available on the Starter plan and above.

Import

  1. Go to Locations → Import.
  2. Download the sample CSV template to see the expected columns (name, address, city, state, zip, country).
  3. Upload your file. SyncaMap shows a preview with any rows that have errors highlighted.
  4. Confirm the import. Locations are geocoded in batches, with a progress indicator for large files.

Export

Click Export on the Locations page to download all locations as a CSV. The export format is compatible with import, so you can export, edit in a spreadsheet, and re-import.

Auto-sync from orders

The most powerful way to fill your map is to let SyncaMap create locations automatically from the shipping addresses on your wholesale orders. When an order matches a sync rule, SyncaMap extracts its address and products, geocodes it, and adds it to your map — keeping your locator current without manual data entry.

Auto-sync is configured under Sync, and works best when your product rules are set up first so locations display the right product names from the start.

Location source and status

Every location carries a source (Manual, CSV import, or Auto-sync) and a status that reflects where it is in the publishing flow:

  • Awaiting customer confirmation — confirmation email sent, waiting on the customer.
  • Pending approval — in your shop-owner approval queue.
  • Published — live on the storefront map.
  • Rejected — denied, unsubscribed, or expired.

See Sync Rules → Approval and confirmation and Customer Confirmation for how locations move through these statuses.
